Warranty questions
Straight answers about what protects your roof.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. Financing that works for you: in-house, or through our lending partners, for anything we do, repairs included. Ask during your free inspection and we will walk you through what fits. If you do not get approved, call or text us; we might be able to work with you. Military, first responders, and teachers get an automatic $500 off.
Do you handle insurance?
No roofer in Utah should tell you they handle or negotiate your claim. That belongs to you, your insurance company, and licensed public adjusters. What we do: we photograph and document the damage, measure the roof, and write a detailed estimate you can give your insurance company, and we explain what happens at each step so nothing surprises you. Insurance carriers even pay us to run their own inspections in hard-to-reach areas.
Do you work on roofs with solar panels?
Yes. We are licensed for solar work as well as roofing, so one company takes the panels down, replaces the roof, and puts them back. Check for solar tax credits and energy efficiency programs that may apply to you.
What counts as an "act of God" for a roof?
Usually a sudden event from nature: hail, a windstorm, lightning, or a tree that came down in a storm. Normal wear, age, and skipped maintenance usually are not. Your policy has the final word, so read it or ask your agent.
How can I tell if I have storm damage?
From the ground, look for dents in gutters, downspouts, and vents, shingle granules collecting in the gutters, missing or lifted shingles, and new leaks after a storm. Please do not climb up there. Our free inspection photographs every slope and shows you exactly what we found.
What is the difference between a workmanship warranty and a manufacturer warranty?
Workmanship is our labor; the manufacturer warranty is the materials. Our lifetime workmanship warranty* is about how the roof was installed. The shingles and other products carry their own warranty from GAF or CertainTeed, with their own terms. Our guide to workmanship and manufacturer warranties walks through both.
Does the warranty cover hail or wind damage?
Storm damage is usually a homeowner’s insurance matter, not a workmanship issue. If a storm hits your roof, we will inspect it for free, photograph and document the damage, and write a detailed estimate you can give your insurance company.
