Siding replacement questions
The questions we get asked the most about new siding.
Do you offer financing for new siding?
Yes. New siding is exactly the kind of project people finance, and we can do it through our lending partners or in-house. If you do not get approved, call or text us. We might be able to work with you.
Do you handle insurance?
We document and estimate. We do not negotiate or file the claim. When hail hits a whole side of the house, we photograph it wall by wall, mark the damage, and give you a dated report and a written estimate for your insurance company. We are contractors, not public adjusters. How insurance work goes.
Do you work on homes with solar panels?
Yes. Our Utah contractor license carries the S202 Solar Photovoltaic classification, so if panels have to come off for roof work, the same company handles it. We are not electricians and we do not do general electrical work. How roof replacement with solar works.
What counts as an act of God?
Damage nobody caused. Hail, wind, lightning, a tree that came down in a storm. Nobody was careless and nobody skipped a repair, the weather just showed up. That is the kind of damage most homeowner policies are written for. What they usually will not cover is siding that simply got old, which is exactly the line good photos win and bad photos lose.
How can I tell if I have storm damage?
Walk around the house after the storm and look at the side it came from. Dents, chips, and cracks in the siding, dented downspouts, and granules from the shingles collecting at the bottom of the downspouts are the usual signs. If you see any of it, get the free inspection and we will photograph the siding and the roof.
How much does siding replacement cost in Salt Lake City?
It depends on the size of the house, the siding you pick, and what is behind the old siding. Stories, trim, and access move the number too. That is why the inspection is free: you get your exact number instead of a guess, with same-day estimates available.
What siding lasts longest in Utah's climate?
The honest answer depends on the house, the budget, and how the siding is installed. Yes, twice. Our workmanship warranty is lifetime*: if something we installed was installed wrong, that is on us. What is under my old siding?
You find out when it comes off, and so do we. We photograph the wall once the old siding is off and if we find something that changes the job, you see the photos and hear about it before we do anything about it.
