Lehi more than tripled in size after 2000, so a lot of its homes are on their first roof, and those first roofs are getting older. Why that matters to you: a roof that went on in 2005 is now 20 years old, and so is every roof on the street that went up with it.
An old town that grew up fast
Lehi is old. It was incorporated in 1852, and the city calls itself Utah’s sixth oldest city, rich in pioneer and old West history, on its own site. But most of the Lehi you drive through today is new. By 2016 the Census Bureau estimated Lehi at 61,130 people, more than triple its 2000 count, as KSL reported, and the city now puts itself at nearly 96,000.

Wind at the Point
If you live in north Lehi, you have seen the paragliders. Utah State Parks says the Flight Park at the Point of the Mountain is known worldwide as a training site, and pilots go there for the wind. BYU’s student paper explains it: wind from Utah Valley flows north through the gap in the morning, then reverses in the evening. Pilots love it. Here is one most people do not know until they go solar: Lehi has its own power department. Rooftop solar in Lehi runs through Lehi City Power’s solar program, with its own net metering policy and its own application portal. If your roof has solar panels, we hold the solar classification on our Utah license, so the panels come off and go back on with the same crew that does the roof. On shingle roofs we run GAF Timberline HDZ or CertainTeed Landmark Pro, the same shingles that come in our packages.

Do you offer financing?

Do you handle insurance?
We inspect, mark, photograph, and give your insurance company a complete dated report. With your OK, we also answer your carrier’s questions about what we documented. What counts as an act of God?
Damage nobody caused. Hail, wind, lightning, a tree that came down in a storm. Nobody was careless and nobody skipped a repair, the weather just showed up. That is the kind of damage most homeowner policies are written for. What they usually will not cover is a roof that simply got old, which is exactly the line good photos win and bad photos lose.
How do I tell if I have storm damage?
From the ground, mostly you cannot, and that is the problem. Look for shingle granules in the gutters or at the downspout, lifted or missing shingles after wind, dents on soft metal like vents and downspouts, and any new stain on an upstairs ceiling. If you spot any of it, get the free inspection and we will document every slope before it turns into a leak.
Do you work on roofs with solar panels?
Yes, in-house. We hold the S202 Solar Photovoltaic classification on our Utah contractor license, so panels come off and go back on with the crew that does your roof. No second company, no second wait, and one warranty conversation instead of two.
I have solar on Lehi City Power. Does that change anything?
A little. Lehi runs its own power department with its own net metering policy and its own solar application portal, so solar in Lehi follows the city’s rules. When we take panels off for a new roof and put them back, the same crew does both jobs, and we will walk you through what to expect before anything comes off.
My Lehi home is only 20 years old. Does it really need a new roof?
Maybe not, and we will tell you if it does not. But 20 years is about when a lot of first roofs start to show wear: loose granules, lifted edges, tired seals around vents. A free inspection gives you a dated photo report either way, so you know where you stand.
